unable to load dll oci.dll, here is the solution
Hi guys. Using asp.net to connect to oracle database is really a headache thing, i figure out one solution, which is not very perfect, but at least can get the web applicaiton running. my product server is a win2k3 server, so i add the 'Network AuthorityNetwork Serveice' to the administrator group ( you can try the power user group, i havent testeed out yet). why do it like this, because under win2k3, the IIS deligate to the 'Network services' user, not IUSER account. so no matter how you grant the permission to IUSER will not solve the problem. Unable to load DLL (oci.dll) #2
I've been working as programmer for a group using Oracle 8i and recently switched my home development machine to Oracle 10 Personal after a long series of hassles keeping 8i running on a Pentium4 with WINXP. I have a set of programs, that when 8i worked (the listener would die mysteriously), also worked fine. With the new install, even though I have rights to Oracle dir set properly (I think) and the path and and TNS_Admin set ok in environmental variables, the programs can't find oci. I can open Oracle in toad and in the VS Server Explorer. Toad however in SQL *Net Configuratio..

Oracle library OCI.DLL or ORA803.DLL could not be loaded
We have a 2-tier client/server app that successfully connects to an Oracle 9i database with the PBO8480 driver. The user has only the Oracle 9i client installed. We have an ASP web application on the same machine, trying to connect to the same database with the same PBO8480 driver using a PB COM. We are using this COM for database authentication. When we attempt to connect we get an error 'Oracle library OCI.DLL or ORA803.DLL could not be loaded'. unable to load dll (oci.dll) (I am using 9.i client)
Hello, I have been on many user groups researching this and so far none of the suggestions have helped get rid of this error message, 'unable to load dll (oci.dll)' I was using the 8.i client yesterday and it was working great. We had to upgrade to the 9.i client because the 8.i client does not support pentium 4's or higher which is the specs on the target system where this web app will run. As soon as I upgraded none of my Oracle database calls worked any more. Here is the code I am using: Dim Conn As New OracleClient.OracleConnection(CONN_STR_DEV8V2) ..

Unable to load DLL sybdrvado115a.dll..
All-- I am trying to deploy a multi-tier VB.NET 2005 app to a Win2K3 server where no Sybase components have previously been installed. I was able to get Sybase.Data.AseClient.dll into the GAC without a problem but I am still getting complaints re: sybdrvado115a.dll (which is an unmanaged code object), 'unable to load DLL sybdrvado115a.dll.' (This DLL is in the same folder as the *.exe.) Am I missing other components? My Setup and Deployment project did not include this DLL as a dependency. I don't think this DLL is a COM DLL, either, as I can't register i..
